The Fremantle Festival is a community festival celebrating Fremantle’s culture and the arts.
The Fremantle Festival consists of events produced by the City of Fremantle in collaboration with local arts organisations and the community. Key events held on the Festival weekend include;

Wardarnji Aboriginal Cultural Celebration
Carnival Day – incorporating Village Vibes, the Fremantle Festival Street Parade, Freo Shuffle,
and Bhangra Dance Party

In addition to these free, major events the Festival includes a large number of community-initiated events happening at various venues and locations around Fremantle between Saturday 7 and Sunday 15 November. These events showcase our local talent and the best of Fremantle culture through music, dance, visual arts, theatre, film, fashion and community participation.

Printed programs will be distributed with the Fremantle Cockburn Gazette from Tuesday 20 October as well as from various locations around Fremantle including the Fremantle City Library and Fremantle Arts Centre.
Gwenyth Ewen's Art Competition
A selection of artwork by year 6 and 7 students from Fremantle Primary Schools depicting historic buildings in Fremantle.
