SOUTH FREMANTLE - SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FAIR - FREE

A wonderful family day of community celebration with music, activities and displays featuring concerts from various schools along with plenty of other entertainment such as dance groups, a knights tournament, kite flying, martial arts, yummy food, animal displays, community stalls, showbags and much, much more! There’s even a fully operating FM radio station run by the students with some very interesting guests! With over $100,000 in prizes to give away everyone’s a winner! All in all a fun filled GIANT CARNIVAL!

GIBSON PARK - HORRIE LONG MURAL AWAKENING - FREE

In celebration of Fremantle Festival, local artist Juana Terpou brings Horrie Long Park to life with the launch of her mural. We invite you to come along and share in this exciting event and enjoy a BYO picnic with family and friends.

WHITE GUM VALLEY CANDLELIGHT COMMUNITY FEAST - FREE

Join in an afternoon of fun in Valley Park followed by a community feast in the heart of the valley. This candlelit dinner will celebrate the valley’s diversity in food, song and stories. Bring a dish to share or buy a meal.

FREMANTLE INNER CITY RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION - WANGI MAAIA (A MEETING PLACE) - FREE

This open air performance is a collaboration of visual arts, dance, theatre and music which will highlight the meeting of two cultures performed by women. This community event will culminate in celebratory drinks in the opening of the Arthur Head Studio Gallery.

HILTON FIESTA - FREE

Come and join in an afternoon of fun and entertainment for everyone. Activities include, pasta making and a sausage sizzle as well as Buster the Fun Bus appearing from 12.00 – 2.00pm. There will be live music, games, food and drink as well as information stalls.

NORTH FREMANTLE COMMUNITY GALA - FREE

Glen Cowans underwater photographic work is increasingly attracting attention from international galleries and collectors who are fascinated by his capacity to venture into waters where others fear to tread. Following on from an exhibition of Glen’s work at the National Maritime Museum in Sydney which was greeted with critical acclaim the North Fremantle community is delighted to present an exhibition of Glen’s extraordinary underwater photography.

COME AND TRY – OPEN HOUSE

Enjoy breakfast then the official “local celebrities” launch of the new tennis courts along with a community bowls tournament and other fun games. Well known portrait artist Colin Atkins will paint a portrait of the Queen to be hung in the Bowling Club as well as completing an oil painting during the performance of the String Beans for auction as a fundraiser followed by a free BBQ lunch. All welcome!
