Fremantle Community Fringe Festival

The 2008 Fremantle Community Fringe Festival will include events initiated and coordinated by members of the Fremantle community.

Community groups or individuals are encourages to organise their own event and then nominate it for inclusion in the Fremantle Community Fringe Festival events listing.

The Fremantle Community Fringe Festival may include performances, events, workshops or exhibitions. But don’t let this list restrict you, as all nominations submitted by the community are encouraged and will be considered for inclusion in the events listing.

Lotterywest Street Parade

The call is out to anyone and everyone to make the 2008 Lotterywest Street Parade bigger and better than ever before. The festival theme is TRANSFORM and we invite groups to express themselves using colour, singing, instruments, movement and costumes to create a funky parade entry.

We want to make sure the Parade is as vibrant as ever and so the City of Fremantle is offering support to parade participants by offering funding for materials or for an artist to work with the group to create their float.

The Lotterywest Street Parade is a opportunity to transform yourself and be part of Fremantle’s largest celebration of everything that’s joyful and quirky about our port city and community

Volunteering

There are many opportunities for volunteers to be a part of the Fremantle Festival.

Offer your time to support marketing and promotions, backstage support, event operations, parade marshalling, community arts assistance and poster/program delivery, just to name a few!
